Our Story.
For the past 22 years Mike has built his concrete placing business, Impression Concrete from the ground up to what it is today, known for their quality laying and finishing. Mike has instilled an exceptional work ethic in his company and continued leading by example as the company evolved, ultimately leading to steady growth while remaining a small company.
After university Kane took the time to help estimate, manage, and help out his father in any way possible, playing a critical role in the company’s success. Five years ago he decided it was time to start diversifying their portfolio of work and established his business, Midland Concrete Cutting, to complement Impression Concrete.
More recently, they continue to grow and expand while focusing on what they do best; concrete.
At the start of 2021, together Mike and Kane launched Slipform NZ. With over 30 years of concrete experience between them, they know concrete is in demand in New Zealand but they also know the industry has some big challenges. There is stagnated productivity, slow technology adoption and a shortage of skilled labour limiting future growth opportunities. Slipform NZ is here to be apart of the solution with continuously formed concrete.
